Honor has confirmed that it will announce the Honor X50 GT smartphone at 19:30 on January 4 in China. The company has also released two posters confirming the design of the device. As the name suggests, it will look similar to the Snapdragon 888-powered Honor X40 GT, which was announced in October 2022 in China.
Honor X50 GT design revealed
The Honor X50 GT features an OLED display with curved edges on the front. The second image shows that the phone will be available in black and white colors. The black variant has a simple back design, while the white variant has a golden stripe indicating a 108-megapixel primary camera. Notably, the phone features a dual camera setup on the back. Honor has not provided any information about the X50 GT’s specifications.
It is reported that the Honor X50 GT may be similar to the upcoming Honor X50 Pro. It is said that the X50 Pro may be targeted at the offline market, while the X50 GT will be aimed at the online audience.
Honor X50 Pro specifications (rumored)
Honor X50 Pro is expected to feature a 1.5K OLED panel. It will be equipped with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of storage.
It will have a 5800 mAh battery with 35W fast charging support. The device will run Android 14 based on Magic OS 7.2. For security, it will have an under-screen fingerprint sensor. There is a possibility that its price may be around 2,000 yuan (~280 USD).
By the way, Honor is planning to introduce the Honor Magic 6 series of flagship phones and Magic OS 8.0 operating system on January 10 and 11 in China. The lineup is expected to include Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 models such as the Magic 6, Magic 6 Pro, and Magic 6 Porsche Design.
