Honor CEO Zhao Ming recently confirmed that the company will launch a flip phone this year. Today, a Chinese leaker shared a mockup rendering that shows the design of the back panel of the alleged Honor Magic Flip (tentative name). Here’s a look at what we can expect from its design.

The leak claims that Magic Flip has been in development for more than two years and will be officially unveiled by the end of the second quarter of this year.
Magic Flip will be the company’s debut in the compact folding phone market. It remains unclear whether the image above is a leaked official rendering or an image of the actual device. However, it seems that the final product will look very similar to the image in the render.
As you can see, Honor Magic Flip will have a massive display with a cover, like the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra. In addition, it has a vertically placed dual camera. The lower half seems to be made of regular leather.
According to reports, the Honor Magic Flip aims to be the thinnest and lightest in the industry, giving users a true bar experience. Recent leaks claim that the device will feature a 4500 mAh dual-cell battery, but other details are being kept under wraps. In China, the device is expected to compete with the upcoming Xiaomi Mix Flip and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 devices.
In addition to Magic Flip, the company is expected to release two more foldable phones with a folding display this year. These include Magic V3, which folds inward, and V Purse 2, which folds outward.
