Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6), shrouded in mystery, continues to face a stream of leaks. The latest one comes from an anonymous source claiming to be a former Rockstar office janitor and suggests that the game may have a large map and will be released in September 2025.
The leak, posted on a gaming subreddit, describes the observations of a janitor during his six-month tenure at Rockstar, when he saw glimpses of the game despite security measures.

The most interesting detail he shared is the final shot, possibly from a trailer or advertisement, with the GTA logo and the words “September 2025” underneath, potentially hinting at the release month. In addition, the janitor claims to have seen a “huge” map with several city clusters marked on it:
“The map looked huge, I saw it on a monitor when I passed by one of the developers, it looked like there were 2-3 large groups of roads, which I assume were cities/towns.”
The leak also mentions that they overheard one of the developers expressing relief at the absence of actor Brian Zampella, who was once rumored to be in the running for the lead role.
However, some of the details shared by the alleged cleaner are questionable. The use of the word “liquor” instead of “alcohol,” a common American term in the British context, casts doubt on the cleaner’s authenticity.
Besides, it’s hard to believe that the cleaner didn’t sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), given the game’s secrecy and Rockstar’s reputation for protecting its projects.
Moderators of the subreddit where the leak occurred claim to have received evidence of the janitor’s employment, but the reliability of this information remains in question.
It’s possible that the cleaner is real, but unknowingly violated a non-disclosure agreement and could face legal consequences. Or maybe they made it all up to get attention online. So we think it’s better to be a little skeptical.
On the other hand, if you have Netflix, you can get Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City, and San Andreas for free. At least there’s something to keep us entertained while we wait for real news about GTA 6.
