A little over a week after announcing Gemini Deep Research, Google is making the tool available to more people. The feature, which is part of the paid Gemini Advanced package, is now available in every country and language where Google offers Gemini. In practice, this means that Gemini Advanced users in more than 100 countries can start using Deep Research right now. Previously, it was only available in English.
As a reminder, Deep Research leverages Gemini 1.5 Pro’s ability to reason through “long contextual windows” to create comprehensive yet easy-to-read reports on complex topics. After you provide the tool with a query, it will generate a research plan that you can approve and adjust as you see fit. Once you agree, Gemini 1.5 Pro will start searching for information related to your query in open sources. Sometimes this process can take a few minutes, but once Gemini has completed the search, you will receive a multi-page report that can be exported to Google Docs for further review.
