Google launches Gemini AI add-on for iPad

Google is once again crossing the great divide between competing tech giants, at least in the field of artificial intelligence. The company has launched a special iPad app for its Gemini AI assistant. In addition to running on Apple hardware, the Gemini iPad app can take advantage of the tablet’s split screen, which allows the AI assistant to open on the screen simultaneously with another program, making it easier to use. The app is available today in the App Store in all countries where Gemini is currently available.

Recently, Google has been paying considerable attention to Gemini, trying to introduce its service to more and more potential users. Last November, the first native Gemini app appeared on the iPhone. Recently, the company introduced a program for children to learn about the AI assistant, and also opened the possibility of deep research for all Gemini users. With Google I/O 2025 just around the corner, it is safe to say that we will hear about new features and integrations for the AI assistant later this month.
