FiiO has officially announced the launch of its new R7 R2R desktop digital streamer, DAC, headphone amplifier, and preamplifier combo unit. Available in black and white, the device is priced at 5499 Yuan.
All-in-One HiFi Center
The FiiO R7 R2R is positioned as a comprehensive desktop HiFi hub, integrating multiple functions into a single unit. It serves as a digital streamer, DAC, headphone amplifier, digital transport, preamplifier, and external sound card. Powering the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor, complemented by 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Interaction is handled via a 5.5-inch Full HD display.
Advanced Audio Architecture
At the core of the R7 R2R’s audio processing is FiiO’s proprietary 24Bit R2R resistor array, comprising 192 precision thin-film resistors. This design aims for highly accurate digital audio signal conversion.
Versatile Amplification and Connectivity
The R7 R2R offers significant power output, with five adjustable gain levels ensuring compatibility with a wide range of headphones. The balanced output can deliver up to 4000mW + 4000mW, providing ample driving force for demanding cans. The device supports both DC and AC power supplies, offering flexibility in setup. For enhanced digital audio precision, it incorporates a dual FPGA architecture paired with dual custom femtosecond crystal oscillators.
Multiple Operating Modes and Smart Features
Users can select from nine different working modes to tailor the R7 R2R to their specific needs. The unit also features AUTO EQ for automatic sound equalization, FiiO Control app integration for enhanced management, and remote control capabilities, further solidifying its role as a versatile command center for desktop audio setups.
