ETER is a rangefinder system that detects enemy signals from radios, drones, and electronic warfare devices. This helps the military perform combat missions more efficiently, launch drones and hit enemy positions.
This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov. The Ukrainian company Falcons submitted its development through the Brave1 platform.
“For example, before launching the drone, the soldiers check for an enemy electronic warfare signal and then form a safe route for the bird,” Fedorov said.
The system itself is mobile and modular, allowing for quick replacement of damaged components. Some units of the Defense Forces are already using the development at the front.
The complex consists of three direction finders that are interconnected in a network. The corresponding software processes the data and transmits it to the operator and headquarters. If necessary, the three direction finders can be combined into a larger system, but Falcons has a flexible approach to customers, so the configuration of each system is discussed individually.
The complex was created in a fairly short time – 5 months passed from the start of the project to the first successful combat use of the complex.
Today, Falcons is working on several orders for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. So far, the systems have been purchased mainly by private companies and volunteer foundations.
