EIZO has announced the upcoming release of its new FlexScan EV2401S monitor, a 23.8-inch display designed for office environments and professionals. Set to launch in January next year, this monitor promises a blend of performance and efficiency.
Key Features and Design
The FlexScan EV2401S boasts a compact design, with a width of just 537.8 mm and a depth of 253.1 mm, making it suitable for even smaller workspaces. It features a Full HD (1920×1080) panel that offers a 1500:1 contrast ratio and a peak brightness of 350 cd/m², ensuring sharp and clear visuals.
Enhanced Visual Experience
A standout feature of the EV2401S is its support for a 120Hz refresh rate, along with variable refresh rate (VRR) technology. This capability is designed to provide a smoother viewing experience, especially when paired with dynamic refresh rate features found in operating systems like Windows 11. The monitor automatically adjusts its refresh rate based on the on-screen content, reducing motion blur and enhancing fluidity, which is particularly beneficial for fast-paced content or multitasking.
Connectivity and Power Efficiency
Connectivity is robust, with the inclusion of USB Type-C, DisplayPort, and HDMI ports. Additionally, four USB Type-A ports are provided, offering ample options for connecting peripherals and external devices. EIZO has also emphasized the monitor’s energy efficiency, with a typical power consumption of only 9W. It incorporates several power-saving technologies aimed at reducing energy usage during prolonged periods of use.
Professional Use Cases
Beyond its general office applications, the FlexScan EV2401S includes a BT.709 preset mode. This feature is particularly relevant for video production workflows, offering color accuracy that aligns with broadcast television standards.
With its combination of a high refresh rate, comprehensive connectivity, energy-saving features, and professional color presets, the EIZO FlexScan EV2401S is positioned as a versatile display for both everyday office tasks and more specialized creative work.
