Exciting news for HarmonyOS users! Doubao Input Method has officially launched its early access version on the App Gallery, bringing its advanced features to the platform. Version 0.9.1 (901) is available for a trial period from August 22nd to September 21st.
Leveraging Advanced AI for Input
Doubao Input Method boasts a powerful ‘Voice Input’ feature that utilizes the same large voice model found in the Doubao app. This ensures rapid and accurate voice-to-text conversion, with support for multiple dialects, English, and even mixed Chinese-English input. Whether you speak quickly or softly, the recognition is precise. Notably, it functions smoothly even in environments with poor or no internet connection, offering a reliable user experience.
Beyond voice, the ‘Keyboard Input’ offers both 9-key and 26-key layouts. It’s equipped with robust error correction capabilities and smart predictive text (jianpin) to streamline typing.
A Growing Ecosystem
This HarmonyOS launch marks another significant step for Doubao Input Method, which first debuted its 1.0 version in November of last year. Since its initial release, it has consistently expanded its reach, adding support for iOS and macOS systems. The developers have also indicated that a Windows version is in the pipeline, with the official website stating “Coming Soon”.
The inclusion of features like a context-aware engine and an enhanced glide typing function in its earlier versions has demonstrated Doubao’s commitment to providing a competitive and user-friendly input experience across various platforms.
