91mobiles has exclusively spotted the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold, which has passed Camera FV-5 certification ahead of its launch next week. This comes just hours after the phone was spotted in the wild with the updated camera module. The Camera FV-5 listing reveals the phone’s camera hardware, including the main and front cameras.
Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold camera details
- The Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold will have a 12-megapixel primary camera on the back. This should be increased to 48 megapixels. This is the same as its predecessor: 48-megapixel sensor.
- The sensor will have an aperture of f/1.7, OIS+EIS, a 55.8-degree vertical field of view (FoV) and a focal length of 25.5 mm. The maximum image resolution will be 4000X3000. The ISO sensitivity range is 43-17066.
- The front-facing folding camera has 10 megapixels and will have EIS support on board. It has a focal length of 22.3 mm, f/2.2 aperture, 77.8 degree field of view, and a maximum resolution of 3840 X 2600.
- However, details about the other sensors have not been disclosed at the moment, but leaks have already shed some light on the subject.
Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold: what we know so far
The Pixel 9 Pro Fold is rumored to be powered by the Tensor G4 chipset, which is a leap from the Tensor G2 SoC. The chipset can be paired with 16 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of storage. It is believed that at launch, the Pixel will run on Android 14, not the latest version of Android 15.
The Pixel 9 Pro Fold is expected to have a 6.3-inch cover screen and an 8-inch Super Actua Flex display. In comparison, the Pixel Fold had a 5.8-inch FHD+ OLED screen and a 7.6-inch internal OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
The phone reportedly has a 48-megapixel primary camera, a 10.5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle module, and a 10.8-megapixel telephoto sensor. The predecessor had a 48-megapixel main camera, a 10.8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 10.8-megapixel telephoto camera. Thanks to the Camera FV-5 listing, we now know that the phone will have a 10-megapixel front-facing camera.
The price of the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold could start at $1,799 for the 256GB model and $1,919 for the 512GB version, respectively.
