OPPO has officially announced that its latest operating system, ColorOS 17, will be unveiled on September 17, 2026, at 10:00 AM in Zhuhai. The announcement was made during the OPPO ColorOS 17 Launch and Developer Conference. The new ColorOS 17 will make its debut on the upcoming OPPO Find X10 series smartphones.
Key Features of ColorOS 17
Built upon the foundation of Android 17, ColorOS 17 introduces a fresh design philosophy with its new ‘Floating Island Navigation’. This design element is integrated throughout the entire system, affecting almost all built-in applications. It builds upon the fluid animation effects seen in ColorOS 16, adding a new flexible feedback system. This allows global elements to stretch naturally with user interactions, compress under force, and rebound dynamically.
In terms of performance, ColorOS 17 promises significant improvements. Users can expect a roughly 35% increase in system interface smoothness, a 20% boost in application cold start speed, and approximately 50% improvement in background application retention.
