Global Reach of Chinese Developed Games
The success of Chinese developed games extends beyond domestic borders. In August 2026, these titles generated 2.030 billion USD in overseas markets. This translates to approximately 13.645 billion yuan at current exchange rates. This represents a 0.88% increase from July and a significant 20.87% jump year-on-year. In August 2025, overseas revenue for self-developed games was 1.680 billion USD, equivalent to about 11.293 billion yuan.
Esports Segment Shows Steady Performance
The esports game market also demonstrated positive momentum, with actual sales revenue reaching 15.736 billion yuan in August 2026. This indicates a 5.85% increase from the previous month and a 4.54% rise year-on-year. Last year, in August 2025, the esports market generated 15.052 billion yuan.
