CAD renders of Apple iPhone SE 4 offer a new design

The era of “affordable” iPhones may return soon enough. We’ve known for a long time that Apple is developing a fifth iPhone. It belongs to the iPhone SE line of the Californian brand, and it seems that big changes are coming. The 91mobiles team has exclusively obtained CAD renders of the upcoming iPhone SE 4, and here’s a look at them.

CAD renders of iPhone SE4 show notched screen and Face ID

Previous iPhone SE devices were based on older Apple iPhone models with a home button. This is the first time the brand is planning a major overhaul. Based on CAD renders obtained from industry sources, we can confirm that the iPhone SE 4 will have a 6.1-inch display. This is a significant upgrade from the 4.7-inch display of the iPhone SE 5G with a home button.

The CAD renders also show that the iPhone SE 4 will have a notch size similar to the iPhone 13/14 series and will include a Face ID module. In addition, the phone will feature a single main camera on the back, just like its predecessors.

The dimensions of the device will be 147.7 x 71.5 x 7.7 mm, like the iPhone 13 and iPhone 14. This confirms last year’s MacRumors report, which also reported that the device may have an action button (which is unclear based on the renders provided) and a USB-C port.

The 4th generation iPhone SE is expected to debut in 2025. But given the rumors that have been building up, it wouldn’t be surprising if the device appears at this year’s fall event alongside the iPhone 16 series. The iPhone 16 series is expected to be a relatively moderate upgrade, but having an affordable phone in the lineup could help with sales in developing countries.
