BYD’s premium brand, Denza, has officially unveiled the complete interior of its new N8 model, emphasizing a blend of advanced technology and luxurious comfort. Dubbed as the brand’s new expression of “Tech • New Luxury,” the Denza N8 promises a sophisticated and modern cabin experience for its occupants.
A Glimpse Inside the Denza N8
While the smart cockpit and interior elements of the Denza N8 have been teased before, focusing on its screen configurations, this latest reveal offers a comprehensive look at the full design. The standout feature is the innovative “Horizon Screen + Giant Screen” smart cockpit. This setup includes a 1.1-meter long “Horizon Screen” (PHUD) designed to expand the driver’s field of vision, offering a more expansive view of the road ahead and integrated information.
Complementing the Horizon Screen is a massive 30-inch “Giant Screen,” which aims to provide an immersive panoramic audio-visual experience for all passengers. This dual-screen configuration underscores Denza’s commitment to integrating cutting-edge technology seamlessly into the vehicle’s interior, enhancing both functionality and entertainment.
Performance and Range Under the Hood
Beyond the interior aesthetics, the Denza N8 is poised to offer robust performance and impressive range. According to filings in the 409th batch of the “Road Motor Vehicle Production Enterprises and Products Announcement” by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the Denza N8 will be available in three pure electric versions. The vehicle’s dimensions are noted as 5150mm in length, 1999mm in width, and 1820mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3075mm.
Powertrain options will include a single-motor version with 320kW, a high-performance single-motor version at 370kW, and a tri-motor version with power outputs of 270kW, 310kW, and 310kW. This diverse range of performance options caters to different driving preferences, from efficient cruising to exhilarating acceleration.
Long-Distance Travel Redefined
BYD has also confirmed that the Denza N8 will feature the second-generation Blade Battery and fast-charging technology. This combination is expected to deliver an exceptional pure electric range of up to 1003km. The brand is marketing the N8 as the “King of Large Five-Seater Pure Electric Vehicles,” highlighting its capability for extended journeys without frequent charging stops. This extended range, coupled with the luxurious and high-tech interior, positions the Denza N8 as a strong contender in the premium electric SUV market, particularly for those who prioritize both comfort and the ability to travel long distances.
