A Strategic Alliance for the Future

Core Technology and Feature Implementation

Channel Ecosystem and User Benefits

Leveraging Honor’s vehicle connectivity capabilities and BYD’s robust smart ecosystem, the collaboration will establish a channel partnership model that combines product co-display with data co-operation. This integration aims to facilitate platform-level benefit reciprocity between the two companies.

Joint Communication and User Engagement

To maximize reach and impact, BYD and Honor will coordinate on creative marketing campaigns, joint product launches, and user operations. This will occur around key events such as new model releases for both vehicles and smartphones, exploring a wider array of communication strategies to engage consumers.

A History of Successful Integration

The synergy between Honor and BYD is not new. Their collaboration began as early as 2023, marked by a technological breakthrough in NFC car key functionality. This allowed BYD vehicle owners to conveniently lock and unlock their cars using Honor smartphones.

By 2024, the partnership expanded to include in-car fast charging scenarios, further integrating the user experience. Looking ahead to 2025, the focus shifts to the underlying technology of car-phone connectivity. The first brand to benefit from this deeper integration will be Denza, with Honor’s vehicle connectivity system being implemented. This will be followed by a phased rollout across BYD’s entire range of brands, ensuring a seamless flow of cross-terminal interactions and services.

This strategic move by BYD and Honor signifies a commitment to creating a more connected and user-friendly experience for consumers, bridging the gap between their digital lives and their vehicles.
