Browser Company's AI browser is available in beta

A new AI-powered browser from Browser Company is now available in an invitation-only beta. Called Dia, the browser was first announced in late 2024 and is built on the deep integration of what its maker calls “the most personal AI on the market.”

Dia allows you to “talk to your tabs” and will adapt and learn the more you use it. You can open an AI chat on any webpage without leaving the tab, where the built-in bot can search the web, compare websites, answer questions about the content being displayed, and even create a draft document in the tone of a particular webpage. You can customize the tone and style of the chatbot’s tasks, as well as its coding language and the way it communicates with you.

All of these features are available in the Dia URL, and the idea is that you don’t have to visit special pages for other LLM chatbots like ChatGPT to complete tasks using artificial intelligence. The browser company has many competitors, not least Google, which last month announced that it will soon release its Gemini AI assistant in Chrome, which will be able to do many of the same things as its own Dia chatbot. The upcoming Opera Neon browser also has integrated artificial intelligence and is positioned as “fully agent-based.”

In May, The Browser Company confirmed that it had stopped active development of the Arc web browser, shifting its attention to Dia. Arc users get instant access to the new browser and can invite friends to join by signing up for Dia. If you’re not a member of any of the browsers, you can join the waiting list here.
