Brave1 increases grants for military research

Brave1 is looking for developers to counter FPV and drones

The Brave1 platform increases grants for Ukrainian military developments from 500 thousand to 2 million hryvnias ($50,000).The application process for updated grants for defense-tech developments is starting.

Previously, the amount of funds was $5,000 and $25,000. This was announced by Vice Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.

Ukrainian producers whose developments have passed the defense expertise and received an overall score and an assessment of the current level of development readiness of at least 4 points can apply. The amount of funding depends on the score.

Funds can be spent on the purchase of necessary equipment and components, R&D, and product development. Each developer will report on this. If the grant is misused, the funds will have to be returned.

The Brave1 grant program was launched in July 2023. Since then, 189 grants totaling $3.3 million have been awarded. Thanks to the grant support, the technological level of readiness of more than 80% of the developments was improved and the production of a third was scaled up.

“We are creating conditions for increasing production rates and improving the quality of defense innovations. Develop products that will strengthen Ukraine at the front and receive funding from Brave1,” addresses the developers Fedorov.
