Apple Watch 3 Ultra may let you down in terms of update

Amid all the rumors about the upcoming iPad lineup and the fact that it might be equipped with an OLED display, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo made a surprising prediction about the Apple Watch Ultra 3. After suggesting a possible delay, Kuo now expects a new Ultra model in 2024. However, there is a catch: it will likely not have significant hardware improvements over the Ultra 2. Specific details about the Apple Watch Ultra 3 remain under wraps, and the only confirmed information so far is a September launch.

Ming-Chi Kuo’s report says there will be no major updates to the Apple Watch Ultra 3

Looking beyond the Ultra line, there is a possibility of a third-generation Apple Watch SE launching this year if Apple sticks to its two-year update cycle. The fate of the successor to the Apple Watch Series 9 remains unclear. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman previously hinted at an updated “Apple Watch X” with blood pressure and sleep apnea features, but its launch window and official name remain uncertain.

Interestingly, the features that Gurman proposed for the Series 9 successor could potentially appear in the Apple Watch Ultra 3. As the original Apple Watch is approaching its tenth anniversary (unveiled in September 2014, launched in April 2015), all attention is focused on the upcoming smartwatch announcements from Apple.
