Amazon Haul seems to be aiming to become the new Temu

Amazon Haul will be the e-commerce titan’s new discount store designed to compete with Temu and Shein, CNBC reports. This new corner of Bezos’ empire is only available for mobile devices and promises products at “insanely low prices.”

In contrast to Amazon Prime’s fast speed, Amazon promises that Haul orders will be delivered in less than two weeks. Earlier, CNBC mentioned in a previous report that Amazon was exploring the possibility of setting up a store where goods would be sold to American customers directly from China, although now it seems that the company is importing goods itself and acting as an intermediary.

Speed isn’t the only change in Amazon’s typical scheme that customers will have to get used to. It seems that regardless of whether they are subscribed to Prime or not, customers will have to buy items worth $25 or more per order on Haul to get free shipping. For smaller orders, the shipping cost will be $3.99. Amazon will also not accept returns from Haul unless the value of the items is more than $3.

If customers switch to Haul, the new storefront could put Amazon in a favorable position in a seemingly crowded market. Both the US and EU have set their regulatory sights on Temu.
