From now on, all Vodafone prepaid tariffs are available in the eSIM format. In addition to Joice Pro, new subscribers can purchase Joice Start, Joice Max or the new flagship tariff – Vodafone Turbo. You can buy a new number with the required tariff in the Vodafone online store and within one hour after payment, the eSIM will be sent automatically to the specified e-mail.
Customers who are already using Vodafone services and want to change their physical SIM to an eSIM can do so in the My Vodafone app or use a “replacement” eSIM, which can also be purchased remotely in the Vodafone online store.
About eSIM technology
eSIM allows you to refuse to use a physical SIM card and replace it with a virtual one. For this purpose, manufacturers install a microchip in modern gadgets that allows loading a digital SIM card by scanning a QR code. Thus, users are able to buy or change a SIM card remotely without having to go to a store to get a physical card.
A virtual SIM card has a number of other advantages:
- It allows owners of mono-SIM devices to significantly expand the capabilities of their gadgets and use several profiles in one smartphone – up to 10 numbers (depending on the manufacturer’s settings).
