From now on, Airbnb will show you how much you’ll pay for your stay, including cleaning fees and other expenses, as soon as you start searching for a place to stay. The update, which is being rolled out globally, means you’ll see the full cost of your reservation (excluding taxes) before you even get to the checkout page.
The company first began showing the full cost of its listings in some locations in 2019 after facing scrutiny from the European Union over how it displayed its fees. It later launched a toggle in the U.S. and hundreds of other countries that shows the total cost of a stay in Airbnb search results, on individual listing pages, and in other parts of the platform.
Airbnb claims that nearly 17 million people have used this feature since its launch in 2022, and now you won’t have to worry about turning on this option during your search. Instead, you’ll see a banner at the very top of your search results that says: “Prices include all fees”.
