Today, Xiaomi has held a global presentation where it introduced various devices under its Redmi sub-brand. Among them are the Redmi Note 13 5G series, Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G, and others. The company also announced the Redmi Buds 5 series, which consists of standard and professional variants. Both TWS earbuds made their debut in China last year, and the global variants have the same specifications.
Specifications and features of Redmi Buds 5 series
The Redmi Buds 5 and Buds 5 Pro have the same half-ear design with a stem and silicone earbuds. They have a headphone detection function that automatically pauses playback when they are removed. The audio devices are protected against dust and water according to the IP54 standard.
In terms of sound, the Redmi Buds 5 is equipped with 12.4-mm and 1.6-mm speakers. The Pro, on the other hand, has an 11mm subwoofer and a 10mm tweeter. The Standard and Professional models have three levels of active noise cancellation up to 52 dB and 42 dB, respectively. Both TWS earbuds also feature three transparency modes to keep you aware of your surroundings at all times. Buds 5 Pro are also equipped with LHDC 5.0 codec, which provides a full immersive experience. The Buds 5 are equipped with two microphones, while the Buds 5 Pro has three microphones, both of which are able to withstand wind noise to ensure clear quality during calls.
The Redmi Buds 5 series headphones are equipped with Bluetooth 5.3 and can connect to two devices at the same time. They also feature Google Fast Pair. Both TWS earbuds provide 10 hours of battery life and 40 hours of battery life with a case.
The Redmi Buds 5 series is available in black, white, and sky blue. The standard and professional models cost $46 and $78 respectively.
