The Ukrainian Government has issued a decree approving the National Plan for the Protection, Security and Resilience of Critical Infrastructure. The document, developed by the State Special Communications Administration, defines strategic goals, measures, and tasks for the entities of the national critical infrastructure protection system, sectoral bodies, CI operators, and other government agencies.
The National Plan, in particular, provides for:
- clarifying the tasks and powers of critical infrastructure protection entities, improving the
- legislation governing their activities
- ensuring monitoring;
- assessing risks and threats to critical infrastructure;
- determining the procedure for interaction between CI protection entities in crisis situations;
- ensuring the functioning of the information exchange system;
- strengthening the resilience of CI;
- developing programs for working with communities and supporting the population in case of crisis situations;
- establishing international cooperation, etc.
The implementation of the National Plan, which is designed for three years, will facilitate the smooth operation of critical infrastructure facilities of various categories, ensure protection against threats and the uninterrupted provision of vital services to the population.
📢 We remind you that during the martial law and within 12 months after its termination or cancellation, the State Special Communications Service of Ukraine is designated as the authorized body in the field of critical infrastructure protection. The authorized body coordinates the activities of the subjects of the national protection system, ensures the formation and implementation of state policy in the field of critical infrastructure protection.
