New leaks suggest that Rockstar Games’ highly anticipated title, Grand Theft Auto 6, is set to offer players a substantial challenge with 55 trophies or achievements upon its release. This number reportedly surpasses the initial offerings for both Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2.

A Trophy Hunter’s Dream?

According to a recent report citing sources like TexFunz2, GTA 6 will feature 55 PlayStation trophies and Xbox achievements. While the specific names of these achievements remain undisclosed to prevent spoilers, the sheer quantity indicates a significant amount of content and diverse gameplay objectives for players to pursue.

To put this into perspective, the original launch versions of Grand Theft Auto 5 offered 49 achievements on Xbox 360 and 50 trophies on PS3. Later iterations on PS4 and Xbox One saw a slight increase, with some challenges specifically tied to online modes. Meanwhile, Red Dead Redemption 2 launched with 51 achievements on Xbox One and 52 trophies on PS4, including a coveted Platinum trophy.

The reported 55 trophies for GTA 6 suggest that players will need to invest considerable time and effort to achieve 100% completion. This could translate to a more complex and potentially longer gameplay experience compared to its predecessors, encouraging players to explore every facet of the game world.

Extensive Gameplay Expected

This revelation about the trophy count aligns with previous insights into the game’s scope. Earlier reports, referencing comments from Rockstar’s co-studio head Rob Nelson, indicated that completing the main storyline and a portion of additional missions in GTA 6 could take approximately 80 hours. The extensive achievement list further supports the notion that GTA 6 will be a massive undertaking, rewarding dedicated players who delve deep into its mechanics and narrative.

While Rockstar Games has yet to officially confirm the trophy or achievement count, these leaks provide an exciting glimpse into the potential depth and replayability of Grand Theft Auto 6. Trophy hunters and completionists will likely find plenty to keep them busy when the game finally arrives.
