Huawei has officially opened the HarmonyOS 7 (Flower) Beta recruitment for its HUAWEI WATCH 5 series smartwatches. This exciting update brings a host of new features, including AI-powered call noise cancellation and the ability to sync earthquake alerts directly from your Huawei phone.
Owners of HUAWEI WATCH 5 series devices can now sign up for the beta program through the ‘My Huawei / Service’ app on Huawei phones and tablets. For users with non-Huawei devices, enrollment is available via the ‘My Huawei’ WeChat mini-program.

Revamped System Interface and New Watch Face
The HarmonyOS 7 update introduces a completely refreshed system interface, with watch faces and the multi-tasking list featuring a more fluid and dynamic light-and-shadow design. Complementing this is the new HarmonyOS 7 ‘Sky Dome’ watch face, which boasts soft, flowing light that creates delicate and transparent layers of light and shadow, bringing a sense of tranquility and dynamism to the wrist.
Enhanced Health Tracking
The popular ‘Health Clover’ feature has been upgraded to the ‘Health Lifestyle’ application. This upgrade introduces a new ‘Diet’ dimension. By configuring relevant check-in tasks within the Huawei Sports Health app, users can unlock a four-leaf clover model. This multi-dimensional approach is designed to help users cultivate healthier lifestyle habits.
Smarter Assistant Features
The ‘Shelf’ feature’s ‘Xiao Yi Suggestions’ now supports new themes like ‘Notification Summary,’ ‘Important Dates,’ and ‘Commute Overview.’ This provides more context-aware intelligent services. Note that this feature requires pairing with a HarmonyOS 6 or above phone and downloading the ‘Smart Distribution Service’ from the phone’s app market.
Advanced Communication and Safety Features
One of the most significant additions is the AI call noise cancellation. This feature ensures that your voice remains clear during Bluetooth calls, even in noisy environments, allowing the person on the other end to hear you distinctly.

In addition to the major feature upgrades, a minor UI adjustment has been made: the ‘Always-on Display’ setting has been renamed to ‘Screen-off Display’ in the settings menu.
