Colorful (七彩虹) has introduced a new retro Bluetooth speaker named BWV, designed to evoke the spirit of classical music. The speaker pays homage to the renowned composer Johann Sebastian Bach, with its name derived from BWV (Bach-Werke-Verzeichnis), the catalog of Bach’s works. This naming choice signifies the company’s commitment to authentic sound reproduction, aiming to deliver the nuanced and rich tones of classical compositions.
Acoustic Excellence Meets Elegant Design
The BWV speaker boasts an impressive acoustic configuration, featuring a triple acoustic architecture. It is equipped with a 3.5-inch woofer for robust mid-low frequencies and a 30mm silk dome tweeter for clear, high-frequency reproduction. The inclusion of a DSP (Digital Signal Processor) allows for intelligent audio tuning, ensuring an optimized listening experience across various genres.
According to Colorful, the independent tweeter is capable of separating high-frequency signals, bringing out the intricate details in strings and vocals without harshness. The larger 3.5-inch woofer provides a wider vibration area, resulting in deeper bass and a fuller sound for drums and basslines, avoiding the thin and hollow sound often associated with plastic speaker enclosures.
Complementing its audio prowess, the speaker features a cabinet crafted from high-density natural wood. This choice leverages the superior acoustic properties of wood to enhance the sound environment and minimize resonance distortion. The exterior is further refined with a layer of fine leather, which elegantly softens the hard edges of the wooden frame, offering a warm and skin-friendly touch. The front is adorned with a high-precision acoustic woven fabric grille. This finely woven material is acoustically tuned to protect against dust and minor impacts, contributing to both a rich auditory experience and a visually elegant aesthetic, ultimately creating a distinct retro feel.
Versatile Connectivity and Long-Lasting Playback
In terms of connectivity, the BWV speaker offers a range of options. It supports Bluetooth 5.3 for seamless wireless streaming. For wired connections, an AUX input is available. Additionally, users can play music directly from a USB drive or a TF memory card, enabling offline playback even without a network connection.
The speaker is powered by a large-capacity built-in battery, providing up to 13 hours of continuous playback at 50% volume, making it suitable for extended listening sessions at home.
