Honor has officially kicked off the third phase of its MagicOS 11 internal beta recruitment, opening the doors for users to test the latest software on a wide array of devices. This new wave of beta testing includes nearly 30 Honor models, signaling a significant push towards broader software refinement.

MagicOS 11 Beta Recruitment Underway

The recruitment period for the MagicOS 11 internal beta runs from October 16th to October 22nd, 12:00 PM. Users who meet the eligibility criteria can sign up for the beta program through their device’s settings. The path to enrollment is as follows: Settings > System & Updates > Software Update > Three dots in the upper right corner > Upgrade Early Adopters > Internal Test Registration.

Honor has allocated 2,000 slots per device series for this beta program. Within each series, 500 spots are designated for the ‘log’ version (typically for more intensive testing and bug reporting) and 1,500 for the ‘nolog’ version. Honor has stated that the final number of participants may be adjusted based on the application volume, with the final list of selected users to be announced later.

Special Focus on Robot Phone and Flagships

A notable inclusion in this beta recruitment is the Honor Robot Phone, which Honor identifies as the industry’s first robot phone. Due to the complex nature of adapting software for such a unique device, a limited number of 200 ‘log’ version users are being recruited initially for the Robot Phone. This focused approach aims to allow engineers to intensively refine the user experience. Additional slots for the Robot Phone will be made available once the software stability reaches a satisfactory level.

High-end and popular models are well-represented in this beta phase, including the Honor Magic Vs3, Honor Magic V2 RSR Porsche Design, Honor Magic V2 (including its Ultimate version), Honor Magic5 series (Ultimate, Pro, and standard), and the Honor GT. The list also extends to various iterations of the Honor 300, 200, 100, and 90 GT series, alongside the Honor Power and multiple Honor X80 Pro Max, X70 Pro Max, X70, and X70 Refresh Edition models.

The beta program also extends to Honor’s tablet lineup, with the Honor MagicPad 4, Honor Tablet 20 5G version, Honor Tablet 20 Soft Light version, Honor Tablet 20, Honor Tablet 10 Soft Light version, and Honor Tablet 10 included in the recruitment.

Version Push and User Experience

Honor has outlined a phased approach for version deployment. Log version users will receive the update first, followed by nolog users on the next business day. For the Honor Robot Phone, the initial 200 log users will get the update promptly, with subsequent rollouts dependent on the version’s stability.

This initiative underscores Honor’s commitment to gathering user feedback and refining its MagicOS, ensuring a stable and feature-rich experience for its growing user base across a diverse range of devices.
