Microsoft has unveiled its first wave of Game Pass titles for October, with a total of nine new games set to join the service between October 8th and October 16th. Notably, seven of these are day-one releases, offering subscribers fresh content right from launch.
October 8th Additions
The month kicks off with three exciting titles. Echo Weaver, a time-looping Metroidvania puzzle game from Moonlight Kids, puts players in the shoes of the last ‘Weaver’ using knowledge gained from temporal loops to progress. It launches day one on Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, available with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
Joining it on the same day is Forever Ago, a single-player road trip adventure game also available day one on Cloud, Console, and PC, with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass support.
The domestic pixel-art roguelike action game, Neon Abyss 2, also lands on Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The full 1.0 release coincides with its Game Pass debut, supporting Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, and PC Game Pass.
October 13th Lineup
Mid-week sees the arrival of three more titles. The highly anticipated Battlefield 2042 will be accessible via Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. As part of Game Pass Ultimate, subscribers gain access to EA Play, unlocking the EA Play launch pack and the Season 5 EA Play pack.
Deep Dish Dungeon, a survival exploration game blending Metroidvania elements with crafting, joins the service day one. It supports single-player and online co-op and is available on Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members.
From One More Level, the developers behind ‘Ghostrunner’, comes Valor Mortis. This first-person Soulslike action game is set in a parallel world during the Napoleonic Wars. Players take on the role of William, a former soldier resurrected from a battlefield grave. It’s a day-one release for Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, Console, and PC, included with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
October 15th & 16th Releases
On October 15th, the animated adventure game Bluey’s Happy Snaps, based on the popular Australian cartoon, arrives. Supporting two-player co-op, it launches day one on Cloud, Console, Handheld, and PC, available with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
Chained Beasts, a gladiator roguelike for 1 to 4 players, also joins on October 15th. Teammates fight while connected by chains, available on Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass support.
Rounding out the new additions on October 16th is the PC exclusive strategy-building game Beyond These Stars. This day-one launch title for PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate lets players build cities and manage supply chains on the backs of space whales.
