vivo is gearing up to unveil OriginOS 7 at its 2026 Developer Conference on September 16th. The upcoming OriginOS 7 will be featured in the soon-to-be-released vivo X500 series and iQOO 16 smartphones, marking a significant evolution in vivo’s mobile operating system.
Introducing “Blue Heart Little V”: Your Proactive AI Assistant
A major highlight of OriginOS 7 is the introduction of a brand-new AI assistant, dubbed “Blue Heart Little V” (蓝心小 V). According to vivo OS Product Vice President, @vivo surrounding, this assistant is designed to be a truly intuitive and helpful companion. Users can simply utter a request, and Little V will take care of complex tasks by breaking them down, performing cross-device operations, and executing them step-by-step until completion.
For instance, creating a travel itinerary, which previously involved extensive research, data compilation, and schedule planning, can now be simplified with a single command like “Help me create a travel plan.” Little V will then seamlessly integrate your saved travel guides, album screenshots, and personal notes to generate a personalized roadbook.
Little V’s capabilities are deeply integrated into the system, allowing it to leverage over 6,000 atomic capabilities and support more than 10,000 types of tasks. Furthermore, OriginOS 7 incorporates an AI operational security foundation at the system’s core, covering identity, permissions, operation, and auditing throughout the entire process.
“Light and Shadow Aesthetics” and Liquid Motion
OriginOS 7 draws inspiration from the physical laws of nature, introducing a novel “Light and Shadow Aesthetics” design language. This new aesthetic incorporates system-wide light and shadow effects, coupled with a “liquid motion” experience that promises a fresh visual and interactive journey for users. The update also brings a variety of engaging personalized lock screen themes.
Enhanced Fluidity and Multi-tasking with Blue River Engine
In terms of performance, OriginOS 7 features a comprehensively upgraded “Blue River” fluidity engine. A standout feature is the upcoming launch of the “Atomic Workbench” for straight-screen devices. This innovation allows multiple applications to run in parallel on a single straight screen, enabling users to complete various tasks simultaneously without switching screens.
Internal Testing Underway
vivo has already initiated the recruitment for OriginOS 7 internal testing participants. On September 7th, the company announced that 3,000 users per device model would be selected for the internal testing program. This includes 500 participants with logs enabled and 2,500 without.
