Thermaltake has unveiled the AX1000 AI workstation chassis, a robust solution designed to accommodate demanding dual-system configurations. This innovative case supports up to SSI-EEB motherboards on both its left and right sides, offering unparalleled flexibility for professionals and enthusiasts alike.

Dual System Powerhouse

The AX1000 series features an ambitious dual-system layout. Both the left and right sides of the chassis are capable of housing XL-ATX / SSI-EEB motherboards and provide an impressive ten expansion slots each. This allows users to run two complete, independent systems within a single enclosure, ideal for complex rendering tasks, AI development, or high-availability server setups.

Visually, the right side of the AX1000 is characterized by a full MESH panel, emphasizing airflow. The left side offers a choice between a tempered glass panel for showcasing internal components or another MESH panel for maximum ventilation. Conveniently located on the front of the left side are dedicated I/O panels for each of the dual systems. Furthermore, the chassis supports the addition of a 3.9-inch LCD expansion screen, allowing for at-a-glance monitoring of system status.

Storage and Cooling Capabilities

Internally, the AX1000 presents a unique design with the left system in a standard layout and the right system inverted. It supports graphics cards up to 360mm in length and provides two standard PS2 / ATX power supply units. CPU cooler clearance is generous, accommodating heights of up to 190mm. For storage, users will find two 5.25-inch drive bays and an extensive twenty-four 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch drive bays, catering to extensive data storage needs.

Cooling is a paramount concern for workstation builds, and the AX1000 does not disappoint. It can accommodate up to twenty-nine 120mm or 140mm fans, ensuring optimal thermal management. Dust filters are strategically placed on the front, top, and bottom, as well as the motherboard side, to keep internal components clean. For liquid cooling enthusiasts, the top panel supports dual 420mm or 360mm All-In-One (AIO) radiators, or dual 560mm or 480mm custom water cooling radiators.

Expandable Storage and Power with AX200 Module

Thermaltake also offers the AX200, a multi-functional expansion module designed to further enhance the AX1000’s capabilities. This module can be stacked above or below the main chassis, providing additional power, cooling, and storage options. This modular approach allows users to scale their workstation’s resources precisely to their project requirements.

Pricing and Availability

The Thermaltake AX1000 is available in two configurations. The AX1000 TG, featuring a tempered glass left side panel, is priced at NT$32,890 (approximately ¥6,983 RMB). The accompanying AX200 expansion module is priced at NT$12,890 (approximately ¥2,737 RMB). These prices reflect the premium nature and extensive features offered by Thermaltake’s new flagship workstation chassis.
