Lenovo has officially launched the ThinkCentre X Ultra, a compact 1.6L mini PC powered by the latest AMD Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 processors. The announcement was made at IFA 2026, showcasing Lenovo’s commitment to integrating powerful AI capabilities into small form factor devices.

Compact Powerhouse: ThinkCentre X Ultra

The ThinkCentre X Ultra boasts impressive specifications within its modest 183×183×51 mm dimensions. This mini PC is designed for users who need substantial performance without occupying significant desk space. A key feature is its support for up to 128GB of LPDDR5X-8533 memory, with an option to allocate up to 96GB of this RAM to the GPU, significantly boosting graphics-intensive tasks and AI workloads.

Storage is handled by two M.2 2280 M-Key PCIe Gen4 x4 SSD slots, providing ample and fast storage options for operating systems, applications, and data. Connectivity is also a strong suit, with options for MediaTek MT7925 or Realtek RTL8922AE wireless network cards, ensuring fast and reliable wireless connections.

Extensive Connectivity Options

Lenovo has equipped the ThinkCentre X Ultra with a comprehensive array of ports to meet diverse user needs. The front panel features two USB-C ports with 10Gbps transfer speeds and 15W Power Delivery (PD) output, alongside a 3.5mm combo audio jack. The rear panel is even more generously provisioned, offering one DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR10), one HDMI 2.1 FRL, two USB-A ports with 10Gbps speeds, and two Thunderbolt 4 ports, also capable of 15W PD output. A 10Gbps RJ-45 Ethernet port and a flexible expansion slot complete the connectivity suite, ensuring the device can be easily integrated into any professional or home setup.

Broader ThinkCentre Lineup Enhancements

Alongside the ThinkCentre X Ultra, Lenovo also introduced updates to its desktop lineup. The ThinkCentre M75s Gen 6 and ThinkCentre M75q Gen 6 desktop computers are now powered by AMD Ryzen AI PRO 400G series processors. The M75q Gen 6, in particular, includes a PCIe Gen4 slot, offering further expansion capabilities for users requiring additional hardware.

The introduction of these new ThinkCentre models, especially the AI-focused X Ultra, signals Lenovo’s strategic direction towards incorporating advanced AI processing into mainstream business and professional computing solutions. The IFA 2026 event served as the perfect platform for these reveals, highlighting the latest innovations in consumer electronics and technology.
