Get ready, gamers! 8BitDo has just announced the pre-sale for their new Huntsman V3 Youth Competitive Edition controller, known globally as the Ultimate 3C+. This exciting new gamepad is set to launch in China for ¥199 CNY, with shipping commencing on October 26th. This release brings advanced features to an accessible price point, aiming to enhance the competitive gaming experience for a wider audience.
Key Features for Competitive Play
The Huntsman V3 Youth Competitive Edition boasts some seriously impressive tech under the hood. At its core are the TMR sensor joysticks, offering adjustable resistance ranging from 40gf to 80gf. This allows players to fine-tune the sensitivity and feel of their analog sticks to match their personal preference and the demands of different games. To further enhance precision and durability, these joysticks also feature integrated limit silicone pads.
For triggers, 8BitDo has implemented a dual-mode system. Players can choose between Hall effect linear triggers for smooth, consistent actuation or micro-switch non-linear triggers for a more tactile and responsive click. This versatility ensures that whether you’re racing or engaging in rapid-fire combat, the triggers will perform optimally.
Adding to the controller’s functional arsenal are the R4 & L4 small shoulder buttons and PR & PL lockable back buttons. These extra inputs provide convenient access to more commands without compromising grip or requiring complex hand movements. The D-pad has also been redesigned with a light-touch feel, offering quick and accurate directional inputs.
Underpinning the tactile feedback are four integrated vibration motors, strategically placed in the grips and triggers to deliver immersive haptic sensations that respond dynamically to in-game events.
Design and Connectivity
In terms of physical design, the Huntsman V3 Youth Competitive Edition measures 155.7 × 104.5 × 62 mm and weighs a comfortable 240.5g. It supports multi-mode wireless connectivity, including a 2.4 GHz connection via an included receiver that conveniently attaches magnetically to the back of the controller. Bluetooth connectivity is also supported for broader compatibility.
Powering the controller is a built-in 500mAh battery, providing approximately 20 hours of gameplay on a 2.4 GHz connection and up to 32 hours via Bluetooth. For added convenience, the package includes a cardboard DIY controller stand, perfect for keeping your gamepad accessible when not in use.
