More recently, the Ministry of Digital Transformation and the Lviv IT Cluster created the CodeUA platform to help Ukrainian IT professionals find partners among the world’s top businesses. In just one week, 220 companies have already registered on the platform, and another 30 are in the process of verification.
A powerful IT sector
The Ukrainian IT sector currently employs more than 300,000 highly skilled professionals.
Ukrainian IT companies create solutions that are used by millions of people. They work with Apple, Amazon, Nvidia, and others. Part of the Ukrainian code is already in many developments around the world. Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov writes about this.
“We need to create the most favorable conditions for our IT companies to stay in Ukraine and work, attracting money from all over the world. To do this, we do many different things, one of which is the launch of CodeUA. In the first few hours alone, the site was visited by 50,000+ people,” says Fedorov.
How to get to CodeUA
Every developer goes through verification. To get on CodeUA, a company must meet a number of criteria:
- not to have persons on the sanctions lists of international organizations in its structure
- be officially registered under the laws of Ukraine or the jurisdiction of incorporation and have an official representative office in Ukraine;
- have a good reputation.
Among those registered are powerful service and product companies, such as N-iX, Sigma Software, SoftServe, Intellias, etc.
How the platform works
Everything works very simply: the customer visits CodeUA, selects the order category. For example, app development, CRM systems, AI technology, etc. The platform selects companies that specialize in these tasks.
After that, the customer can choose a company from the list that suits him or her in terms of cases, cost, deadlines, etc.
“We are also planning to integrate an AI assistant that will help in the selection of partner companies.”
According to Fedorov, there is another way to go. The company can place its own order on the CodeUA platform and choose a contractor among those who respond to the ad. At the same time, the customer receives additional benefits: no contract fee, legal support, the ability to leave feedback, etc.
