狼蛛 (AULA) has announced the expansion of its popular NOVA98 series mechanical keyboard lineup with two new aesthetic options: “Peach Mist Pink” (桃雾粉) and “Dust Mist White” (尘雾白). This launch brings fresh color choices for enthusiasts looking to personalize their setups without compromising on performance and features.
New Colorways and Pricing
The “Peach Mist Pink” variant is set to retail at 439 yuan and comes equipped with AULA’s Haitang switches. Meanwhile, the “Dust Mist White” model is priced slightly lower at 409 yuan and features the brand’s Bingpo switches. Both new color options are now available for purchase.
Design and Build Quality
The NOVA98 series keyboards maintain a consistent form factor with dimensions of 402.2×140.7×44.7mm. The chassis boasts a robust thick gasket design, with the outer shell measuring approximately 6.8mm in thickness, contributing to a solid and premium feel.
Advanced Features for Enhanced User Experience
A standout feature of the NOVA98 series is the integrated 1.14-inch display, offering users at-a-glance information. Complementing this is a multi-function rotary knob, allowing for easy control of various settings, and an integrated surround light strip that adds a dynamic visual element to the keyboard. The keyboard is powered by a substantial 10000mAh battery, providing impressive endurance. Users can expect up to 166 hours of battery life with the backlighting turned off, and approximately 50 hours with the default lighting effects enabled.
Internal Construction for Superior Acoustics
Internally, the NOVA98 keyboards are engineered for optimal acoustics. They feature a Gasket mount design combined with a PC horizontal slotted positioning plate. To further enhance sound dampening and reduce hollow echoes, the internal structure is packed with a comprehensive six-layer sound-absorbing filler. This includes PO sandwich cotton, PET gasket, and bottom cotton, all working in synergy to create a more refined typing experience.
Connectivity and Performance
Connectivity is versatile, with support for three modes: USB-C wired, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth. For gamers and power users, the keyboard offers dual 8KHz polling rates in both wired and 2.4GHz modes, resulting in an ultra-low latency of approximately 0.125ms. This ensures rapid and responsive input, crucial for competitive gaming and demanding tasks.
Switch Options
As mentioned, the newly released “Peach Mist Pink” and “Dust Mist White” models come with specific switch options. The “Peach Mist Pink” is paired with the Haitang switches, while the “Dust Mist White” features the Bingpo switches, catering to different user preferences for tactile feedback and actuation force.
The AULA NOVA98 series, now available in these attractive new colors, continues to offer a compelling package of design, features, and performance for mechanical keyboard enthusiasts.
