Vodafone has decided to support thousands of Ukrainians who found themselves in a difficult situation in Israel due to the Hamas attack.
“To help Ukrainians in Israel stay in touch and inform their families about themselves, Vodafone Ukraine provides 1 GB of mobile Internet for 7 days,” the company’s press service said.
But the question arises as to why only 1 GB. At least they gave me some minutes for calls. Or maybe local operators are opposing this?
Useful information
It is also reported that Vodafone is providing assistance as part of the “Homeland in Touch” project, which provides support for Ukrainians abroad.
As part of the project, Vodafone sends each subscriber a text message with the phone numbers and addresses of the Ukrainian embassy or consulate in the respective country so that travelers crossing the border of Ukraine always have important information at hand. Vodafone Ukraine recommends keeping this message until you return home.
The “Homeland in Touch” project has been operating for 9 years as part of a joint project with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine to develop effective mechanisms for protecting the rights and interests of Ukrainian citizens abroad.
How to get it
The connection is automatic and subscribers do not need to do anything. After the crediting, Vodafone sends a notification about the connection, and you can check the availability of additional megabytes on your account by dialing *600*41# and the call button.
