Vivo X Fold 3 Pro full specs and design revealed ahead of March launch

Recent reports claim that Vivo will announce the Vivo X Fold 3 series of foldable phones and Vivo Pad 3 tablets in China by the end of March. Ahead of the expected launch, a Weibo user shared visualizations based on a leaked schematic of the X Fold 3 series that was published last week by a Digital Chat Station whistleblower. DCS also published almost all of the X Fold 3 Pro’s specifications.

Design of the Vivo X Fold 3 series

The Vivo X Fold 3 and X Fold 3 Pro are likely to have an almost identical design, but with different internal components. The new renders show a round camera module placed in the upper half of the back, as opposed to the placement in the upper right corner on the Vivo X Fold 2. The module contains three cameras, two LED flashes and the ZEISS logo.

The Vivo X Fold 3, powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, is reportedly not only affordable but also expected to debut as the thinnest and lightest foldable phone. On the other hand, the Pro model is expected to be the first foldable phone to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.

Vivo X Fold 3 Pro specifications (rumored)

Today’s leak from DCS reveals that the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro will have a 6.53-inch OLED panel and an 8.03-inch foldable OLED display. Both screens will support a resolution of 2748 x 1172 pixels and 2408 x 2200 pixels, respectively, and will also have ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint scanners. It will run Android 14 based on OriginOS 4.

The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro will have a 32-megapixel front camera and a 32-megapixel camera on the in-screen display. The rear camera will include a 50-megapixel OmniVision OV50H primary camera with OIS, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 3x optical zoom periscope telephoto camera OmniVision OV64B.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered X Fold 3 Pro will have up to 16GB of RAM, 1TB of storage, a 5800mAh battery with 120W and 50W wired and wireless charging, and a Vivo V3 chip. Other features are likely to include an IR blaster, dual speakers, an X-axis linear motor, a glass back, and a waterproof body. It is said to be thinner and lighter than last year’s Vivo X Fold 2.
