On October 7–8, Warsaw will host the FTTH Congress CEE 2025, where the Ukrtelecom team will participate in key discussions and present its unique experience.
Ukrtelecom CEO Yuriy Kurmaz will be a speaker at the opening panel discussion, “Operators’ View on the Development of Optical Networks in Central and Eastern Europe,” where he will share his vision for the future of optical infrastructure and the challenges facing the industry.
“It is a great honor for us to represent Ukraine at the FTTH Congress for many years. This year, it is especially important to share Ukrtelecom’s experience in ensuring sustainability, as the issue of network resilience capable of withstanding any crisis is now more relevant than ever for Central and Eastern European countries. We are building optics during the war, protecting it from enemy attacks and, at the same time, providing millions of Ukrainians with access to modern digital services. This is a unique experience that can be useful to the entire region,” emphasized Yuriy Kurmaz.

Commercial Director Ihor Yaremchuk and Senior Business Development Advisor Oleksii Khakhluk will give separate presentations. They will present Ukrtelecom’s case study on the company’s work during a full-scale war — from technical stability and operational decisions to teamwork.
“Our experience is not only about technology, but first and foremost about people. Thanks to team cohesion, quick decisions, and flexible processes, we provided connectivity at the most critical moments. And I am convinced that this experience will be useful for colleagues across Europe,” emphasized Igor Yaremchuk.
The congress program also includes a panel discussion on “Cybersecurity and Resilience,” where Oleksiy Khakhluk will speak. He will talk about Ukrtelecom’s practical approaches to cybersecurity: from the implementation of zero-trust principles and network segmentation to the continuous operation of critical systems and infrastructure recovery after damage caused by hostile attacks.
For Ukrtelecom, this is not only an opportunity to share its experience, but also to join the strategic discussion about the future of optical infrastructure in the region.
