Ukrtelecom Retains Yield of 9-12th Coupons of B Series Bonds at 19%

    ukrtelecom-enUkrtelecom, the largest telecommunications company in Ukraine, has retained the yield of the 9-12th quarterly coupons on B Series bonds at 19% of annual interest.

    Ukrainian News learned this from a statement by the company, the wording of which was made available to the agency.

    The statement reads that holders of the bonds have a right to offer for redemption all or part of the bonds.

    The yield for the 1-4th coupon periods was 15% of annual interest, the yield for the 5-8th coupon periods was increased to 19%.

    The issue includes 250,000 bonds with a nominal value of UAH 1,000 each.

    The term of circulation of the securities is until 25 July 2011.

    As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Ukrtelecom ended the period of January-March at losses of UAH 36.11 million. The company’s net revenues decreased by UAH 3.432 million or 0.2% to UAH 1,675.437 million in the first quarter, compared with the corresponding period of 2009.

    The company ended 2009 at a loss of UAH 456.426 million. Its net revenues during this period increased by UAH 225.202 million or 3.39% to UAH 6,870.931 million, compared with 2008.

    Ukrtelecom has a 78.5% share of the fixed-line telephone market in Ukraine and provides services to 9.9 million subscribers.
