Every piece of equipment or position of the must be protected by electronic warfare. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.
“UAVs and electronic warfare are critical components of our victory. We have already increased the production of Ukrainian ‘birds’ tenfold. Now we are transferring this experience to electronic warfare. We are eliminating bureaucracy, simplifying the approval for operation, and developing new developments together with Brave1,” the official said.
Total protection
The Russians have been investing in the field of electronic warfare for years. Ukraine is now studying and analyzing the enemy’s experience. We already have an advantage in certain areas, but this is not enough. It is necessary that all units of the Defense Forces have high-quality electronic warfare equipment.
To ensure that the military is not only “invisible” to Russian systems and UAVs, but can also effectively counter them.
Last week, the Government adopted a revolutionary resolution that opens up and simplifies trial operation for companies.
“In simple terms, more Ukrainian companies will now be able to officially sell their products to the state. We need to break down all the bottlenecks that block the development of the private sector,” added Fedorov.
Features of the resolution
A government decree will make it possible:
- to procure electronic warfare equipment for the state under a simplified procedure;
- increase the profit of manufacturers by 25%;
- be allowed to operate without repeated tests and a meeting of the Defense Ministry commission;
- to reduce the time for the approval of UAV and EW samples for operation to 10 days;
- procure electronic warfare equipment from the Ministry of Defense and the State Special Communications Service at the request of the Defense Forces;
- to purchase UAVs and EWs before the completion of the procedure for approval for operation through a joint departmental test report with a positive conclusion or a NATO nomenclature number;
- not to approve the Technical Specifications for samples of unmanned systems and electronic warfare equipment at the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
