Trump to call attacks on Tesla facilities domestic terrorism

At an event at the White House where he promised to buy a Tesla car, President Donald Trump said he would classify violence at Tesla facilities as domestic terrorism.

Over the past few weeks, protests against Tesla CEO and head of the Department of Government Effectiveness (DOGE) Elon Musk have intensified at Tesla facilities. There have been reports of situations such as shots fired at a Tesla dealership and vandalism directed at Tesla.

The Bluesky account, which represents the Tesla Takedown movement, responded to the comments by saying: “We are a non-violent grassroots protest movement. We oppose violence and destruction of property. Peaceful protest on state property is not domestic terrorism. They are trying to intimidate us. We will not allow them to succeed.

The statement also says that “it is ironic that Donald Trump wants to call our peaceful movement domestic terrorism. This is the man who sent an aggressive mob to Capitol Hill to steal an election he lost and then pardoned more than 1,600 rioters who were convicted by a jury of serious crimes against the United States of America.”
