Huawei Qingyun series computers are sold exclusively to enterprises and government agencies in China. It is known that the company is experimenting more with these devices than with consumer computers under the Mate brand.
Back in 2021, the company released the Qingyun L410, its first-ever ARM-based laptop. This laptop was equipped with the Kirin 990 SoC. At the end of the same year, Huawei released another ARM laptop called the Qingyun L420 based on the Kirin 9006C chip.
Now, two years later, Huawei has unveiled its third ARM laptop, the Qingyun L540. This new laptop is powered by the same HiSilicon Kirin 9006C chip as the second model.
Specifications of Huawei Qingyun L540
Huawei’s third ARM laptop again comes in a single 14-inch variant, just like its predecessors. It also has a 15.9 mm thick metal case and weighs 1.45 kg.
The laptop is equipped with an IPS LCD panel. The screen has a resolution of 2160 x 1440 pixels and can cover 100% of the sRGB color gamut.
As mentioned above, the device is powered by the Kirin 9006C chipset. Not much is known about this silicon, except that it is built on a 5nm process technology and its processor runs at a clock speed of 3.13 GHz.
In terms of software, Huawei ships the computer with two different operating systems. It comes with one of two Linus distributions, namely KOS (Kirin Operating System) and UOS (Unity Operating System).
The laptop meets the MIL-STD-810G ruggedness standard. It is equipped with 1 USB Type-C, 2 USB Type-A, HDMI, 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a mini RJ45 connector.
Finally, the laptop is powered by a 56 Wh battery and supports 65 Wh charging.
