A recent leak from insider Digital Chat Station revealed that Redmi, Honor, and iQOO are working on phones equipped with the next-generation Dimensity 8500 chipset. Today, DCS published a post on Weibo to confirm the battery size of the Honor D8500 phone.
The battery capacity of the Honor Dimensity 8500 phone has been revealed
According to DCS, the upcoming Honor Dimensity 8500 phone is being tested with a 10,000 mAh battery. He also noted that the phone has reached the NPI (New Product Introduction) verification stage. There is currently no information about the final name of the device.
As a reminder, this phone entered the NPI stage in the last week of July and is gradually moving forward. As mentioned at the beginning of this post, several brands are working on phones based on the Dimensity 8500. However, it is said that the Redmi Turbo 5 will be the first phone equipped with the D8500 SoC.
This means that the Honor Dimensity 8500 phone may appear in China shortly after the Redmi Turbo 5 in December or January 2026. Currently, only the chipset and battery size of the Honor D8500 phone are known. We hope that future reports will provide more details about the other features of this device.
As for the Dimensity 8500 SoC, it is said to be a 4nm chip manufactured by TSMC. Although its processor architecture remains unchanged from the Dimensity 8400 that debuted last year, its Mali-G720 graphics processor is said to provide an excellent gaming experience. The chip is predicted to score over 2 million points in AnTuTu tests. Other phones with Dimensity 8500 include Realme Neo 8 SE and iQOO Z11 Turbo.
