After the disappointingly slow release of One UI 7, Samsung is quickly turning things around with One UI 8. It was the first brand to release a beta version of Android 16 with its own interface (One UI 8 beta) in May, but it remained exclusive to the Galaxy S25 series for a long time.
After more than two months, Samsung is expanding the beta version of One UI 8 to more Galaxy phones and has already announced its plans for further expansion in September (more on that later). Here is a list of Samsung devices that are currently receiving the One UI 8 beta update.
These Samsung phones are receiving the beta version of One UI 8
- Galaxy S25
- Galaxy S25+
- Galaxy S25 Ultra
- Galaxy S24
- Galaxy S24+
- Galaxy S24 Ultra
- Galaxy Z Fold 6
Having just one of these Samsung phones is not enough to register for the One UI 8 beta program; you must also reside in an eligible country. For the Galaxy S25 series, the beta version was initially released in the US, UK, Germany, and South Korea, and later expanded to Poland and India.
As for other devices on the list, including the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6, the beta version of One UI 8 is available in four regions: Korea, the US, the UK, and India.
Samsung’s plan to release the beta version of One UI 8
Starting with the Galaxy S25 series in May, the beta version of One UI 8 is now available for more Galaxy devices starting this week, including the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6. The update has been released in four planned countries: Korea, the US, the UK, and India, with no official announcement of expansion to other regions.
However, Samsung has already announced its plans to expand beta testing next month. According to the official announcement, in September, the company will release a beta version of One UI 8 for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy A55 5G, Galaxy A54, Galaxy A36 5G, Galaxy A35 5G, and Galaxy A54 series. The countries eligible to participate remain the same: Korea, the US, the UK, and India.
