The future Tet DC7 data center in Salaspils is one of the most modern and energy-efficient data centers in Northern Europe. The new data center will welcome its first customers in September 2026.
Construction of DC7
Construction of DC7 began in May 2025, and the project is scheduled for completion by the end of 2028. Several modern construction practices are being implemented during the construction of the data center, including the use of prefabricated modular elements that reduce CO₂ emissions and assembly time, as well as intelligent automated engineering communications management systems.
DC7 will ensure high levels of availability, security, and infrastructure quality. Already at the design stage, the DC7 technical project was certified in accordance with the international Uptime Institute Tier III Design certification, confirming the high technological level of the project. Upon completion of construction, Tet will become the only data center service provider in Latvia with two Tier III-certified data centers – Dattum and DC7.
The building is designed to meet all the requirements for a future data center, especially in terms of creating special solutions such as a shell or “building within a building” for server placement, air ducts, and raised floors for engineering communications.
Currently, in parallel with the construction of the building’s external structures, the construction of structures in the data center’s server room is underway. After the completion of the construction phase of the building’s structural elements, civil engineering specialists will hand over the baton to builders of low-voltage systems and engineering systems.
What DC7 will get
The DC7 data center will be equipped with liquid cooling systems that more efficiently regulate server temperatures, reduce power consumption, and extend equipment life. In addition, artificial intelligence technologies are being implemented for automated system management and modern cybersecurity features for the highest level of data protection. The data center will be connected to the largest Internet optical network nodes in Latvia, as well as to the largest international Internet exchange points in Europe.
That is why DC7 will serve both Latvian and international government and business customers, providing the ability to deploy mission-critical IT systems and backup infrastructure.
