SpaceX may raise $400 billion in funding

According to Bloomberg, SpaceX plans to raise new capital by selling new shares to insiders in a deal that could raise its valuation to about $400 billion.

The company’s strategy is to raise money through a fundraising round and to hold a separate tender offer to allow employees to sell some of their shares to a select group of investors, anonymous sources told Bloomberg. SpaceX usually holds tender offers twice a year.

Since the company’s founding more than two decades ago, SpaceX’s valuation has grown steadily. In October 2021, the company passed the $100 billion mark and doubled that figure in just three years. This latest round would represent a significant jump from the $350 billion valuation set during the tender offer that took place in December 2024.

Discussions are still ongoing and the deal, including the final price, is subject to change.
