Snapchat Platinum members will now be able to use AI-generated animal or flower video lenses, Snap announced today.
There will be three of these lenses initially, which Snap calls “AI Video Lenses.” For example, a fox lens could show a fox snuggling up against your shoulder, while a raccoon lens could show raccoons running overhead. A flower lens would make flowers appear in front of you and zoom out.
Snap says it will add new AI lenses every week.
“Powered by our proprietary video generation model, these lenses give Snapchat users some of the most advanced AI tools available today in a familiar lens format,” Snap said in a blog post. “We have a long history of being the first to offer cutting-edge AR, ML, and AI tools directly to our community, and we look forward to seeing what Snapchatters create.”
Last year, Snap demonstrated an on-device AI model that can transform a user’s background and clothing in real time.
