Now you can send your notes and drawings from reMarkable directly to Slack. The companies announced Slack integration for reMarkable tablets, which will allow you to send anything from your e-paper device directly to your work chat with a single tap. “…we realized that when there’s friction between thinking and producing, you risk losing time, ideas, and momentum,” said Nico Cormi, CTO of reMarkable. By connecting your tablet to Slack, you reduce the number of steps required between generating ideas and sharing them with your team, making it easier to collaborate with others.
reMarkable is an e-paper tablet designed to work with a stylus. Simply put, it’s a digital notebook where you can sketch, write notes, draw, annotate documents, and even read e-books if you want to use it as an e-book reader, similar to a Kindle. If you want to share your notes using Slack, you simply need to go to the menu in the left corner of your device and select “Send to Slack.” When you do, a canvas will open in Slack containing an image of your file with AI-generated notes. If the image contains handwritten text, the canvas will also contain your notes, which the AI has converted into editable text.
To use the Slack integration, you need to subscribe to reMarkable Connect, which gives you access to unlimited cloud storage and sync for $3 per month. You will also need a Slack account with a Pro, Business+, or Enterprise Grid plan.
