Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 has just been leaked for the first time, thanks to X tipster Jukan Choi, and it’s sporting a sleek blue color.
The leaked photos include a side profile shot, and the first thing you’ll notice is how thin the thing looks. The Fold 7 looks noticeably thinner than its predecessor, the Fold 6.
It may not yet be able to claim the title of “world’s thinnest foldable smartphone”. It currently belongs to the recently released Honor Magic V5, which measures an impressive 8.8mm when folded.
However, Samsung‘s foldable isn’t far behind. According to the report, the thickness of the Fold 7 could be around 9 mm, compared to the 12.1 mm of the Fold 6. The image also shows the speaker grill, SIM card slot, microphone cutout and antenna strip at the bottom of the phone.
The other two pictures give us a front and back view of the device. The front is still covered with a protective film, but the back clearly shows a new blue hue and the familiar vertical triple camera notch.
Specifications of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7
Speaking of cameras, Z Fold 7 is expected to be equipped with serious optics: 200-megapixel main sensor, 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle and 10-megapixel 3x telephoto lens. Under the hood, it will most likely be powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite, paired with the One UI 8 interface running on Android 16.
This time Samsung may also ditch the selfie camera under the display in favor of a more traditional selfie camera with a punch.
We’ll know more soon enough. Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked event will take place on July 9 in New York, where the Fold 7 is expected to share the spotlight with the Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy Watch 8, and – if we’re lucky – the company’s long-rumored tri-fold smartphone concept.
