Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6 will get bigger displays

Samsung’s latest generation Galaxy Z Fold 5 has minor changes, while the Z Flip 5 has significant updates over its predecessors, respectively. Although we are still far from the sixth generation of the brand’s folding smartphones, a new development has shed some interesting information about the Z Fold 6 and Flip 6. The information came from Ross Young of Display Supply Chain Consultant, which is quite accurate and reliable.

Galaxy Z Fold and Flip of the sixth generation may have larger displays

Samsung plans to increase the display sizes of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6. DSCC’s Young says both phones will have larger internal and external screen sizes. The screen of the next-generation clamshell will have a diagonal of 3.9 inches, which is 0.5 inches larger than the Z Flip 5, which has a diagonal of 3.4 inches. The South Korean brand has been gradually increasing the size of the cover screen from the 1.1-inch display on the original Galaxy Z Flip.

The exact dimensions of the internal and external displays of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 are not disclosed. We can expect them to be larger. For those who are not in the know, the Fold 6 has a 6.2-inch and 7.6-inch internal and external screen, respectively. Meanwhile, the Z Flip 6 has a 6.7-inch main display.

The leaks suggest that Samsung is also looking to reduce the thickness of its next-generation foldable devices. Another rumor points to a 50-megapixel primary camera on the Galaxy Z Flip 6. If the latest information from Yang is correct, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 could receive significant changes next year.
