Samsung Galaxy M55 5G will receive Snapdragon 7 Gen 1

It looks like the South Korean conglomerate is preparing to expand its M-series lineup, which is one of its most popular series. The MySmartPrice team spotted the Galaxy M55 5G in the Geekbench 4 database with the model number SM-M556B.

The smartphone scored 3575 points in the single-core test and 11330 points in the multi-core test. This also confirms the presence of 8 GB of RAM and Android 14. However, keep in mind that Geekbench results tend to vary depending on the version.

It shows an Adreno(TM) 644 GPU and a maximum processor clock speed of 2.40 GHz, which indicates a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset. Other than that, we don’t have much information about the device at the moment. But we expect to get more details in the near future.

The Galaxy M55 5G will replace the Galaxy M54 5G, which was introduced in March this year. It is equipped with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Under the hood is an Exynos 1380 chipset paired with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. It runs on Android 13 with One UI 5.1 out of the box.

In terms of optics, the smartphone is equipped with a triple rear camera of 108 megapixels + 8 megapixels + 2 megapixels and can shoot 4K video at 30 frames per second and 1080p video at up to 60 frames per second. There is a 32-megapixel selfie camera on the front. It has all the necessary sensors, such as fingerprint (side), accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and compass.

In addition, the Galaxy M series has always focused on larger battery capacity, and the Galaxy M54 5G is no exception. It comes with a massive 6000 mAh battery and supports 25W wired charging. The device is available in navy blue and silver colors.
